I get anxious at the dentist. This last visit, I had to get a tooth pulled and I didn't know what to expect. They gave me a clear explanation of how the procedure will go. They knew I was anxious, so they would "check in" during the procedure to see if I was doing ok or needed a break. Very calming environment. Professional. Friendly. I've had 4 dentists. This one is the best I've had. I am done searching. I'm sticking to this dentist.

Southwood Dental Center is a great place to go for your dental check. I was well attended to at the clinic, and Kelvin, the dentist and Patricia, the hygienist who attended to me were very professional. They have the state-of-the-art equipment for dental examinations. I would recommend this great place in a heartbeat.

Dr Kevin Kalra

General Dentist

Dr. Kevin Kalra loves caring for the oral health of his Winnipeg patients at Southwood Dental Centre. Dr. Kalra has been practicing dentistry since 2012 when he graduated from University of Manitoba.

He has broadened his dental knowledge by focusing on dentures, tooth extractions, root canals and dental implants.

General Dentist

Dr. Sarah Kowall is a dedicated and compassionate dentist committed to providing exceptional dental care to her patients. With a passion for oral health and a focus on patient comfort, Dr. Kowall strives to create a welcoming and relaxed environment at our dental office. Dr. Kowall earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from the University of Saskatchewan in 2023. Following graduation, Dr. Kowall worked in The Pas, located in Northern Manitoba one year before moving back to her hometown of Winnipeg, Manitoba where she was born and raised.

Dr. Kowall stays up-to-date with the latest advancements in dentistry through continuing education and professional development. Dr. Kowall welcomes patients of all ages providing general dentistry services with a special interest in restorative, crown and bridge, endodontics and pediatric dentistry. Dr. Kowall believes in building strong relationships with her patients based on trust, communication, and mutual respect. She takes the time to listen to each patient's concerns and preferences, tailoring treatment plans to meet their individual needs and goals.

Beyond dentistry, Dr. Kowall enjoys spending time with her family and friends, summers at Winnipeg Beach, baking and travelling to new places. Dr. Kowall also enjoys volunteering on Dental Mission trips providing dental care to those in underserviced communities, her most recent trip being to Guatemala in 2024.
